For a brief period in late 2014, Melbourne was graced by a McLaren P1 - albeit a showcar with no ability to be driven.
It was displayed at the showroom in Southbank.

On October 11th, 2015, we received an email containing the photo at left, taken in Mornington. Unfortunately, little is known about the P1 in it, or the circumstances surrounding it being driven on the road. But wow, what a spot! Given the photo's quality, it was never posted on MCS... In fact very few people know about it, so if you've found it here, well done!
It certainly does look like we have a resident McLaren P1 in Melbourne... Hopefully it's not too long before we see better photos/footage of it!
It should be noted that this is a different car to the one photographed above, as that one was a showcar which couldn't be driven.
