The following is a timeline documenting how Australia's only Bugatti Veyron made its way to Melbourne. Mid-December 2014: A freight plane carrying a Bugatti Veyron lands at Sydney airport. No one saw this coming, and it made huge news within the 'spotting' community around the country.
December 17, 2014: The Veyron arrives at Classic Throttle Shop in Sydney where it is displayed for a few days before vanishing. December 22nd, 2014: Every Melbourne car enthusiasts's prayers were answered, and the Veyron was spotted covered on a flatbed travelling through the Burnley Tunnel. March 9th, 2015: Months after it was seen in the Burnley Tunnel, MCS received an early-morning email containing blurry photos of the Veyron pulled over by police on the Peninsula Link moments after they were taken. Later that day, we received exclusive footage of the car driving on the Mornington Peninsula Freeway. This is the last we've seen or heard of the car, but it's understood that it now resides in a private collection on the Mornington Peninsula. |
