The months are getting colder, but it's not deterring supercar owners. This is the best of April on Melbourne Car Spotters.
Noteworthy Spots:
BATMXN visits Melbourne:
I'm unsure whether this is a new delivery, or an existing Aventador to Melbourne with new registration. Either way, it looks incredible, and the plates set it off! The Instagram community agreed with tens of comments in favour of the plates.

Mexico Blue Porsche 991 GT3:
If the car doesn't do anything for you, the photo will (or vice versa). When I received the text message containing this photo, I couldn't help but to post it on MCS in a heartbeat! I'd never seen the car before, and to see such a good rolling shot of it first up was awesome! I cannot stop looking at it:

Dynamic duo:
April ended with a bang with these two spotted cruising through leafy Camberwell - I love suburban Melbourne during Autumn. The Bianco 458 Speciale was delivered in the last week of the month, while the Arancio Aventador it follows has been in town for several years now. Same owner since new, however it doesn't get out all too much. Fair to say I was pretty speechless when a friend sent me a few photos of them.

New Models:
Porsche 911 (991) GTS: Customer deliveries of Porsche's brand new 911 GTS have commenced, and they look incredible. The GTS features the wider track of the Carrera 4, yet maintains a rear-wheel drive configuration making for a unique setup shared only with the 50th Anniversary 911 launched in 2013. Pricing starts at $269k and ranges right up to $313k, placing it between the Carrera S and the GT3. There are quite a few getting about now so keep an eye out for them! |
Mercedes-AMG GT S: Now this is a thing of beauty, and a direct rival to the car above. Although it's a press car and likely to be the only one in Melbourne until customer deliveries commence in July or thereafter, do keep an eye out for it! It's been spotted cruising up and down freeways to break it in throughout the month. Customer demand is said to outnumber the Australian allocation 2:1. They'll be priced from $295k. |
The Rumourmill:
Enzo at Dutton Garages?
There have been rumours floating around that Dutton's new showroom in Burnley is about to add a Ferrari Enzo to their inventory. Let's hope this one pans out!
Liberty Walk Aventador?
I have been told by a reliable source that one of Melbourne's resident LP700 coupes is about to receive full Liberty Walk treatment. The parts have been ordered, and MCS has been promised exclusive photos as soon as the makeover takes place.

Making News:
Whilst not in Melbourne, the following video is well worth a watch. It will be a long time before a car reaches 350km/h on an open public road in Australia again. This is of course the 918 Spyder that was in Melbourne last month.
